09.03.2011Day One Hundred Twenty-Nine
Done packing for tomorrow for IV Leadership Summit. So after spending a year in college with moving in and packing and whatnot, I have become quite the efficient packer: literally everything I need and will bring is in that standard-size luggage, including the sleeping bag. But I am definitely excited for Summit this week: seeing everyone again after a summer, going back to SD for a bit, going back to Catalina Island without the distractions of technology and electricity (I love the feeling of being able to get away from modern technology every now and then), and being immersed in nature (especially sleeping under the stars at night, hearing the lapping waves, and waking up for the sunrise). I can’t wait to meet the rest of LG team and the workshops, especially two of them that will be focusing on creativity practicum and another about learning to integrate faith in such a way that creative works represent that belief. I can’t wait to reconnect with God, cause it’s definitely a lot harder to do so by myself, and I’d want this journey to grow in seeking Him and learning more about the both of us.
